Awards

Eddie Award
In 2007, Marty received a Bronze Medal in the prestigious Folio Magazine Editorial (“Eddie”) Awards. The Eddie was awarded for the Best Single Article in a Business-to-Business category.

The 2007 Folio Eddie finalists were selected by a panel of more than 100 judges—including respected editors, publishers, creative directors, and webmasters—from a pool of roughly 3,000 entries submitted by magazine publishers spanning the globe.

The award-winning article, “Meet the Press,” explores in depth how school district administrators deal with members of the press during crisis situations. It appears in the August 2006 issue of Scholastic Administrator.

Silver Trumpet Award
Marty won a Silver Trumpet from the Publicity Club of Chicago for special event management in 1993. He created an event called, “The Peruvian Paso Promenade,” that introduced the Peruvian horse to the U.S. Market (on a $500 budget!). The event attracted national media attention, including coverage by Nation’s Business, PBS, Town & Country magazine, and CNBC, among others.
